Fans can now submit their favorite Celtics moments and be entered to win a monthly prize for a pair of lower level tickets and “a special Celtics experience”. The contest runs through March 2011 so get your entries in before it’s too late. The winner of the whole contest will be invited to bring 17 guests to the TD Garden to watch a 2011 Round 1 Playoff game from a private suite. Not too shabby!
BOSTON (January 5, 2010) – The Boston Celtics have recently launched the Celtics Banner Moments program. Now in its second year, Banner Moments is an interactive and social media oriented program that encourages fans to share and describe their favorite moments in Celtics history through the usage of video, photos and text. This year the program has been opened for all fans to display their favorite moment in Celtics history.
Starting in December and running through March, Banner Moments has outlined monthly themes to inspire content that relates to memorable games, community efforts, championships, and family. With two Banner Moments chosen each month, fans will have the opportunity to win unforgettable Celtics experiences such as meet and greets with Celtics legends, shoot-arounds at the Celtics practice facility in Waltham and tickets to upcoming Celtics home games.
In March, the top ten Banner Moments will be identified by members of the Celtics organization and posted on the team’s website, where fans will be encouraged to log on and vote for their favorite Banner Moment of the year. The author of the winning moment will be recognized at Fan Appreciation night on April 13th when the Celtics take on the New York Knicks, as well as win the opportunity to watch a playoff game in their own private suite.
“Banner Moments has been an excellent way to get our fans involved with our social media outlets,” Celtics Chief Marketing Officer Shawn Sullivan said. “As an organization with an incredible historical background, the Boston Celtics are proud to continue Banner Moments this year to further allow our fans to display their most memorable Celtics moment.”

Celtics fans can now visit www.celtics.com/moments to watch some of the Celtics VIP Moments for inspiration, including Paul Pierce’s 2003 match-up with Al Harrington of the Indiana Pacers; a look back at game four of the 2008 NBA Championship with celebrity Celtics fan, Maria Menounos; memorable moments from the Celtics Dancers; and an array of unforgettable dunks from Lucky, the Celtics mascot.
