Jerry Remy Sick: Where Has RemDawg Been?

Jerry Remy (Image from NESN)

2012 UPDATE: Jerry has a sinus infection and will return to the booth soon.

(any information below is outdated and for previous seasons)

NEW UPDATE: Jerry says he should return to the NESN booth by Monday, May 16th.

UPDATE: Jerry has a case of pneumonia. He should return soon.

Where has Jerry Remy been the past few days? Well, in case you were wondering, Remdawg is apparently battling a “very bad flu.”

“I will not do #RedSox game tonight-except for a very bad flu I’m OK-my previous health issues have everybody concerned-please don’t be-Jerry,” Remy said on Twitter.

The health issues Remy is referring to happened back in 2009 when he missed the majority of the season while battling cancer and severe depression.

During last season, Remy signed a contract extension with NESN to put any doubts about his future to rest.

Remy told his Twitter followers Friday that his doctor gave him some medication, so we should be seeing him soon again.

“Got some medicine-doc says I should be back to my old self tomorrow-I will be watching #RedSox at home like every body else tonight-Jerry”
