* Bill O’Dwyer
* John Carter
* Don Sweeney
* Bob Carpenter
* Bob Sweeney
* Bob Joyce

9. Just a Little Bit Outside:

Following movies are over $200mm at the box office this year (office mojo):

Amazing Spider Man – $234mm
Dr. Suess Lorax – $214mm
Brave – $212mm
Dark Knight Rises – $212mm
Madagascar – $208mm

10. Randomocity:

* Was that a strategy by the Romney camp to disparage the British preparation for the Olympics?
* Surprised that Penn State hasn’t got out in front of these law suits and started a fund? The Notre Dame president handled the death of the work study student at football practice perfectly. Didn’t listen to attorney’s and admitted fault and I bet it saved them money
* How did the Bruins end up practicing in Wilmington? Patriots training camp at Bryant College? Celtics in Waltham? Red Sox Triple A in Pawtucket?
* How does a John Grisham re-invent himself?
* I’ll try any potato chip – but no Dill Pickle
* Imagine having your event in the Olympics finished in the first week and have the rest of the time in the Olympic Village?

  1. What exactly are you going to get for Ellsbury, who has played all of 19 games this year? You’re not going to get anything near what Ellsbury is worth until next year’s deadline, assuming he stays healthy.

    REPLY – MPC – Ellsbury is a top five positional player in the league when healthy – some crazy GM will look at last year and not the top three. I would take – Gerrit Cole from Pittsburgh, Devon Mesoraco from Reds, Jacob Turner from Tigers

  2. avoid those weird potato chips in the vending machine… on occasion, they’ll throw a cracked pepper and salt bag in there. makes me sneeze.

    TDKR is best of the year’s action movies, but Avengers will take the total box office.

    i was dead wrong on mccutchen. all the stat geeks in my league raved about him and he’s now a top-3 candidate for MVP.

    i remember phil nevin… lol. he had some pop for a while…

    REPLY – MPC – I was wrong on McCuthen also. Nevin have real pop or manufactured?

  4. Too late to get Turner from Tigers, traded to Marlins earlier this week, and Marlins are in sell mode.

    REPLY – MPC – Wonder if the Sox even have people answering the phones
