The season is now over, and it’s time to get ready for the playoffs. But before that, we need to take a look back at our annual predictions for how the season would turn out. With Miami leading the way in the East, that conference was easier to predict, though the Celtics certainly weren’t what people thought they’d be with their guard depth before the season. The Lakers similarly disappointed, while the 76ers and Mavericks missed the mark (and the playoffs) enough to catch just about everyone off guard.
With similar pick sets, this year’s Pick ‘Em edition came down to who could pinpoint seeds with the most precision. So who was able to do so just a little bit better than the rest? Without further ado, the winner of the 2012-2013 NBA Pick ‘Em is…Nick. Out of all 16 teams, Nick correctly guessed the positions of Miami, Indiana, OKC, San Antonio, L.A. (Clippers) AND Memphis. Being the only one not to pick the Lakers to win the West really helped Nick create a big lead once the Lakers’ tremendous talent pool faltered.
So there you have it. The complete results and standings are below for your review. And also, be sure to check back Saturday to see how everyone thinks the first round of the playoffs will turn out.
