Koji Uehara Wins 2013 ALCS MVP

Koji Uehara

Red Sox closer Koji Uehara won the ALCS MVP for his performance against the Tigers. In all four Red Sox wins in the series, Uehara was credited with three saves and a win.

Of the pressure on him to perform, Uehara told FOX’s Erin Andrews through a translator he “almost threw up.”

Uehara and the Red Sox beat the Tigers in six games, sending Boston to the World Series against the Cardinals.
