Connelly’s Top Ten: Bruins Bore Canadiens to Death

1. Bruins:

* Great night by the Soderberg line / Eriksson’s best game of playoffs
* Krejci slump continues – 1 shot / 0 hits
* There are times that I think the Bruins should sit Marchand like they did to Seguin three years ago
* Here we go with anemic power play in the playoffs again
* Hamilton making great decisions on pinch
* Greg Campbell ZERO shots in last two games
* Iginla ZERO shots

* Solid game for Rask – difference maker – tested two or three times
* What’s scarier – Kathy Bates in Misery or About Schmidt / a wife waiting at the front door / or Boychuck and Bartkowski paired up
* Is there something wrong with Chara – he is Dallas Smith right now

* I want a Bruin to be so aggressive that someone takes out the kid with the torch before the game
* Wow how many kill shots did the Habs deliver – Murray guy is running around without worries
* Can’t believe how many Canadiens are not being buried in the Bruins crease

* Best players on the ice – Hamilton and Soderberg
* Three more posts
* Nice adjustment on the
* Gionta not finishing anymore
* Was the ice bad?

2. Draft:

* Patriots take Dominique Easley rated 58th on CBS top prospects list / Two ACL tears
* Why not trade down when they reach – he’ll be there
* Jernigan positive drug test probably cost him
* DVR fast forward was made for Ray Lewis comments
* Love watching these draft picks crying – next time you will see them crying is during some apology press conference to tell the world he made a mistake leading to his arrest
* Johnny Manziel might have drank 15 bottles of water waiting to get picked

3. Red Sox:

Not one Red Sox has more walks than strikeouts – team 281 K to 149 BB

4. Soccer:

Amazing soccer day Sunday with all ten games in English Premier kicking off at the same time on ten different cable stations

5. Nice adjustment by Bruins:

One man up front and two behind in the neutral zone – reminds me of the championship adjustment Tom Heinsohn made in 1972 to front Kareem

6. Matt Fraser stats at Providence:

* 20 goals in 44 games

7. Amazing Stat:

Boston has been blessed with the following athletes

* best team player
* right wing
* best hoop defender
* best quarterback
* best offensive guard
* best starter
* best clutch kicker
* best head coach
* best NBA head coach / GM
* clutchest NBA player
* best hitter of all time
* best right fielder ?

8. Old School – Matt Fraser meet:

* Glenn McDonald
* JR Redmond
* Jermaine Wiggins
* Bobby Kielty

9. Just a Little Bit Outside:

A study reported that the average American only watches 17 of the 189 cable channels available

10. Randomocity:

* Joe Haggerty release of his story gives me a pass for all my typos
* Mother’s day coming up – flowers and candy guys – or forget about Game 6
* College Baseball’s best days coming up with postseason here
* When does the NBA playoffs start?

  1. Are you kidding? Never mind the flowers and candy for my wife. If I tried to hog the big screen with the Bs on, I would be sleeping on the couch. Don’t forget the female fans, Michael!

    REPLY – MPC – I got ya – I get a lot of questions during the game

  3. the NBA playoffs start when the miami heat win the title. yawn.

    soderberg fantastic, krejci was terrible… did look good in last 6 minutes of game. not sure why those guys wait till the end of the game to get it going. they need to play a full 60 minutes.

    PP was terrible… unreal. it was an ASSET all season.

    REPLY – MPC – No urgency which means you need change

  6. Who is the best RF of all time? Dwight Evans? Are you high? Hank Aaron, Al Kaline and Roberto Clemente say hello. So does Reggie Jackson.

    REPLY – MPC – Only Clemente is the conversation for defensive rightfielders is what I was implying
