A-Rod Says He Took an “Energy-Booster”

Alex Rodriguez told the assembled media outside the Yankees Spring Training complex Tuesday that he used an over-the-counter substance (named “boli”) from the Domican Republic that was supposed to be an “energy-booster.” A-Rod said that his cousin injected him with the substance twice a month during six-month cycles for a three-year period from 2001-2003.
